LOGANSPORT MAN SENTENCED TO THREE YEARS FOR HIGH SPEED CHASE
Jeffery Wolfe
PRESS RELEASE

LOGANSPORT – Prosecutor Noah Schafer announced that Jeffery Wolfe, 32, of Logansport, was sentenced to three years in the Indiana Department of Correction for resisting law enforcement in a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and multiple counts of criminal mischief for damage to property.  Wolfe was sentenced in Cass County Superior Court by Judge Jim Muehlhausen following a guilty plea on July 31.

The charges arise from an incident on May 27th, 2023, during which Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy Leoudy Ventura attempted to pull over Wolfe’s vehicle for speeding.  Instead of pulling over, the intoxicated Wolfe led law enforcement on a vehicle chase, resulting in damage to multiple properties, including extensive crop damage to a cornfield through which the Defendant led police.  The chase eventually ended with the defendant’s vehicle crashing into a ditch and the defendant being taken into custody.
